A news article written by Ron Kampeas/JTA was released today, 3/29/2019 from the Jerusalem Post, asking an important question (found in the title). After reading the article, it is evident that it has been left to time and chance to determine the answer, according to this journalist and most others, whether Trump's peace plan will establish one state or two.
Although we are literally watching bible prophecy unfold right in front of our eyes, if we do not have an understanding of the Word of God (Bible), we will miss it. If all we are looking at is world history and not Biblical history, we will only see a part of the equation. Let's look at the Bible to and see what answer is given to this question regarding a one state solution.
The Bible says in Revelation 11:1-2, "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months".
There are a couple of things that are evident when we look at this passage of scripture.
1. You cannot measure a temple that is not there, so we can conclude that there will be an actual temple built on the temple mount prior to the final 3 1/2 years before the second coming of Jesus Christ. In fact, there is a strong push to begin construction of the third temple in Jerusalem right now. 2. The entire temple will not be given to the Jews. The Bible plainly says that there will be an outer court that will be given to the Gentiles, "And they shall tread under foot forty and two months" (3 1/2 years).
While Israel is reluctant to forfeit any of their promised land, they know just as well as the rest of the world that there can be no peace between Israel and the Palestinians without giving both parties a piece of the land. There will absolutely be a two state solution. Neither part will get exactly what they want, but they will compromise for the sake of peace.
No one knows all the details of the peace agreement that will be made, but we will know when we see it. All we have to do is look towards the Word of God and we can know what is going to happen.
