Where in the Bible?

Answer:

The Bible prophesies about a war that will take place during the end times that will kill 1/3 of the worlds population. This is also known as the Sixth Trumpet War. (when the sixth trumpet sounds, this war will take place). At first thought, you may believe that this cannot be right... The translators must have gotten it wrong... Well, let's take a look at several different translations to see what we find.

Revelation 9:15

KJV...To slay the third part of men

NKJV... To kill a third of mankind

GNT... To kill a third of all the human race

NLT... To kill one-third of all the people on the earth

Just about every translation out there agrees with one another in that there will be an actual war that will take place that will kill 2.56 BILLION people. This number is based on the current world population of 7.7 billion.

How will this many people be killed?

Answer:

It is most reasonable to believe that this many people could die in a single war only by using nuclear power. We know that there are several nuclear superpowers in the world today including the United States, Russia and China. A quick glance into any news channel will prove that this is a hot topic among those capable of such destruction. With tempers flaring and pride at the forefront of most world leaders, it would not take much to send us into the greatest travesty the world has ever seen. Russia has threatened the US once already this year with airstrikes to our "decision making states". The Palestinians have threatened the US as well on numerous occasions.

Wouldn't the United Nations prevent this war?

Answer:

The short answer is no. If we look into the history of our country, we see that there have been several failed attempts at one world governance to prevent future wars such as has been before i.e. WWI and WWII. Prior to WWI, over 6,000 years of human history, there had never been a war to kill even 1 million people. At the end of this war, it would be known as the worlds most deadly war up to this point. WWI (1914-1918) 8.2 million people died. The world searched for a solution and came up with the League of Nations. The League of Nations was the first failed attempt at preventing such a mass killing from happening again.

21 short years later, the world would experience an even greater spilling of blood with WWII. This war did not only surpass the previous war which killed 8.2 million people but did so by almost 44 million more deaths. This was now the greatest loss of life in human history due to war and the League of Nations could do nothing to stop it. WWII (1939-1945) 52 million people died... The world once again searched for a solution and came up with the United Nations which still stands today. The UN has had little effect on the amount of threats of nuclear war being tossed around so casually. The fact is that even the UN that was built in response to the cry for such an event to never take place again cannot stop Biblical prophecy from being fulfilled. This war will take place. It is just a matter of time. This will be the largest mass casualty war in all of human history. (40 times greater than WWI), (2.56 BILLION PEOPLE DEAD)

Where will the war start?

Answer:

Revelation 9:13-15 says that WWIII will start from the Euphrates River and culminate in Jerusalem just when it looks like Israel will be defeated.

Who will be part of this war?

Answer:

Revelation 9:16 says that there will be an army of 200,000,000... (The late leader of China boasted in his personal diary that he could field an army of 200,000,000 soldiers). The same amount as the Bible says. So, there is a good chance that China will be a part of this world war considering that they meet the description and are also a major nuclear superpower. Also, Islam and India could field this many soldiers. We also have to consider Israel's best friend and closest ally, the US as well as Russia who is a major player in the nuclear game.

When will this happen?

We know that WWIII has to happen sometime before the great tribulation (during the first 3 1/2 years of the final 7 years, or even before then).

-Daniel 7:25 Time, times, and half a time = 3 1/2 years

-Revelation 13:5 42 months = 3 1/2 years

-Revelation 12:6 1,260 days = 3 1/2 years

Revelation 10:1-6 (KJV "time no more" is not an accurate translation.... The NKJV puts it like this: "delay no longer". There is still another 3 1/2 Years after the abomination of desolation and then the Bible also says that there is another 1,000 years (the millennial reign)).

Thomas Friedman, Journalist of the New York Times believes the same thing.

Newt Gingrich, former speaker of the house believes the same thing.

President Bush said on May 6, 2006 speaking about the revolt on flight 93 was, "the first counterattack to WWIII".

Revelation 13:1-3 After the world war killing 1/3 of the worlds population, what will the world look like?

The kings of the east in revelation 16 do not represent China because those kings are named in Ezekiel chapter 38 (Moscow, Iran, Libia, Ethiopia).

After the war, world power will swing to the EU (Revelation 12:13-14 )

What happens to the USA? (we will protect Israel until the battle of Armageddon)
